Post WWI

Post WWI BrantfordThe Great War had an enduring impact that was felt long after the Peace Conference that produced the Treaty of Versailles. There were difficult transitions on the industrial and the family fronts as soldiers returned home to a world that was not entirely the same. One of the ways in which communities tried their best to express their gratitude and preserve unity was through remembrance. Monuments sprang up all across the country in gratitude for the sacrifices made. Even before the end of the war, monuments began to appear on the local landscape too.
