Private Absolam Smith Killed in Action

Killed in action was the word received yesterday by Mrs. A. Smith, of 132 West Mill Street, in regard to her husband, Private Absolam Smith. The advices stated that he had been killed by a sniper on April 9. He formerly worked at the Slingsby Mills and went across with the first overseas battalion of the Dufferin Rifles.
