Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Avery received a message today that their son, Acting Sergeant Alanson Cornelius Avery had been accidentally wounded in the lip. This young soldier went over with the 54th Battery, leaving school to enlist. He is now in the 49th Casualty Clearing Station.
