Albert Ballinger

Albert Ballinger, 124 Gilkison Street, passed away Wednesday at the Brantford General Hospital in his seventy-sixth year. Mrs. Ballinger predeceased him in January, 1942.  Surviving are one son, George Ballinger, overseas, who was attached to the Provost Corps, one brother, John Ballinger Brantford; one sister in England and four grandchildren.  Mr. Ballinger was a veteran of the First Great War and a member of the local branch of the Canadian Legion.  He is resting at Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home until Friday afternoon when the funeral service will be conducted.  Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.

Albert Ballinger

The funeral of Mr. Albert Ballinger, 124 Gilkison Street, was conducted from the Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home on Friday. Rev. K.L. Miles Pastor of the Central Baptist Church was in charge of the service.  Pallbearers were B. Twindale, C. Clark and F. Balson, representing the Local Canadian Legion and W. Mulrain.  W. Prince and R. Brown.  Interment was in the Soldiers’ Plot at Mount Hope Cemetery.  “The Last Post” was sounded by Lance Corporal W.A. Bessant, No. 20 C.A.B.T.C.
