Letters and documents

BX September 26, 1918

Mrs. H. Carter, late of 12 Holme Street, received a cable stating that her son, Driver Albert Edward Carter of the 5th Battery, C.F.A., had been admitted to the casualty clearing station with gunshot wounds in the left arm on Sept. 4. Driver A. Carter enlisted in the 25th Brant Dragoons in August 1914, and therefore is one of the “original firsts.”
