R.T. of T. Made Presentation

The quarters of Brantford Council, No. 24 R.T. of T., were the scene of a very pretty event when a large number of the members of the order gathered together in honor of Brother Albert Edward Williams, who had enlisted for active service with the band of the 125th Battalion, were he left for camp.

A very suitable address eulogizing Bandsman Williams for his willing services, and commending him for his action in responding to the call of duty, was read by Select Councilor Brother W.T. Collter.

During the evening a delightful program was rendered consisting of piano solos by Sister Garton, recitations by Sister Vantassel, solos by Sister Hamilton, instrumental selections by Brother Albert, recitations by Sister Hall and solos by Sister Adams.

A Soldier “Baby”

Private Albert Edward Williams, Glanville Avenue, Brantford, is now stationed at Hamilton Military Hospital after being invalided home from overseas. He is getting on nicely. He was invited along with the returned soldiers to the Grocers and Butcher’s picnic at Wabasso Park. There was a baby show on and with him being the smallest amongst the returned boys they carried him in amongst the babies and the public enjoyed it and gave him cigarettes for the prize. Pte. Albert Williams was a member of the 125th Brass Band.
