Another promising young Brantford boy has made the supreme sacrifice in the person of Private Alfred John Harding, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Harding of Cainsville. Word was received on Saturday of the death of Pte. A.J. Harding, who died on Aug. 16 of gunshot wounds received in the thigh. Private Harding enlisted in Flint, Mich., and was transferred to a Canadian Battalion hence leaving for overseas last November. He was 19 years old and loved by all who knew him. Before going to Flint he worked in the Massey-Harris office of this city. He leaves to mourn his loss, a sorrowing mother and father, one sister Annie at home and three brothers, Herb of this city, Sapper Victor Harding of the Royal Engineers and Reginald of Sudbury.
