Infected Tooth Brush Was Cause of Death – Mr. Townley Heming Succumbs to Anthrax While Stationed at Bramshott Camp

Mr. H.P. Heming, of 729 Pemberton Road, received the sad intelligence yesterday of the death of his brother, Mr. Townley Heming, which occurred at Bramshott Camp, England.  The cause of death was anthrax, due possibly to the use of an infected shaving brush.  In this connection it will be recalled that some time ago the British Government initiated a prosecution against a Montreal firm for supplying the War Office with a shipment of shaving brushes which were found infected up an investigation.  Mr. Heming enlisted with a battalion from Hamilton, Ontario.
