Alfred Ernest Wright

Alfred Ernest Wright died Friday at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, in his 74th year.  He was born in London, England, came to Brantford 45 years ago.  He was an employee of the city.  He was a member of the Canadian Legion, having served during the First World War with the 125th Battalion.  His only daughter, Mrs. Iva DeMontmorency, died nine months ago.  Surviving besides his widow, the former Lizzie Ingram, are three grandchildren.  Mr. Wright is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Alfred Ernest Wright

The funeral of Alfred Ernest Wright was held Monday afternoon at Beckett Funeral Home. Rev. E.W. Heinrich, of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, officiated.  Friends, relatives and representatives of the Daughters of England and the Ladies’ orange Lodge were in attendance.  The pallbearers were D. Monkman, B. Varey, J. Longbottom, C. Raven, K. Carrie and M. Martin, all members of the Canadian Legion.  Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
