Killed in action on April 9 at Vimy Ridge was the report received in the city today in regard to Pte. Arthur Edward Philpott, whose bereaved wife resides at 219 Dalhousie Street. Private Philpott went overseas with the first Brant County Battalion. He formerly worked at the Massey-Harris factory. In addition to his wife, one son, born since he went overseas, survives him. He was a member of the Salvation Army.
