BC October 7, 1918

Lance Corporal Burt Colwell has been wounded, according to an official telegram received in the city Saturday. He is reported to have been admitted to a hospital with gunshot wound in the right arm. He had been overseas about a year and six months, going overseas with the 215th Battalion. When in the city he resided at 49 Church Street, although since his departure his parents have moved to Harrisburg.

COLWELL, Burton – In Windsor on Friday, November 26, 1982, Burton Colwell, age 84 years of Windsor; predeceased by his wife, Alice Boughner (1953) and his son, Jack (1952), dear grandfather of Mrs. Tony (Linda) Greco and Ken Black; great-grandfather of Anthony and Sherry Lynn; brother of Thomas of Brantford.  Funeral Monday at 9 a.m. from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home, Windsor to St. Clare Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m.  Graveside service Monday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford at 2 p.m.
