Charles Clench

The funeral of Charles Clench of the Six Nation Indians reservation was held at the Church of the Grand River, Ohsweken, from the Styres funeral home.  Mr. Clench was 68.  He was a veteran of the First World War, serving overseas with the 114th Brock Rangers Regiment and the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1916 to 1918.  He worked for a number of years in the United States before retiring at his home at Ohsweken.  Mr. Clench is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertha Clench; one son, Andrew, and two daughters, Mrs. Herman Jamieson and Mrs. Howard Lickers.  Interment was in the church cemetery.
