MONTURE Charlotte “Edith” – Veteran First World War as a Nurse in France (American Expeditionary Force). Peacefully at Iroquois Lodge, Ohsweken on Wednesday, April 3, 1996; Edith (Anderson) Monture; wife of late Claybran Monture; loving mother of Bud and Irene of Six Nations, Helen and Russ Moses of Nepean, Ron and Belva of Six Nations and Don and the late Carole of Six Nations; dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; predeceased by four brothers and three sisters; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Monture rested at Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken where funeral service was held in the chapel on Friday, April 5, 1996 at 2 p.m. Interment in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Six Nations. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Six Nations Veterans Association or Iroquois Lodge, Ohsweken.
