Edward Webb

Edward Webb died suddenly Tuesday at his residence, 19 Elizabeth Street.  He was born in Manchester, England, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Webb, 67 years ago.  He was a resident of Brantford for 47 years.  A metal spinner by trade, Mr. Webb was employed with the Crown Electric Company for 32 years, retiring in 1950 due to ill health.  He was a veteran of the First World War and served overseas with the Second Infantry Battalion. He was a member of the 25 year Club of Branch 90 Canadian Legion.  He was also a member of the Church of England.  Surviving are one sister, Miss Anne; two brothers, Cyril and George all of Brantford.  Mr. Webb is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home for service Friday at 2 p.m.  Archdeacon H.F. Appleyard will officiate.  Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery.
