Elijah Diggins

Elijah Diggins, a well-known resident of the city for many years, died at the hospital this morning, in his 65th year.  He is survived by his widow and several children.  The funeral will be held on Sunday from Beckett’s funeral parlors, to Mount Hope Cemetery.

Elijah Diggins

The funeral of the late Elijah Diggins was held on Saturday November 2, from Beckett’s funeral parlors, with interment in the Soldiers’ Plot at Mount Hope Cemetery, Rev. C.E. Jeakins, rector of St. Jude’s Church officiating.  The pallbearers were J. Wratten, E. Bailey, B. Rennie, H. Mann, Angus Johnson and Jack Diggins.  There was a large attendance of friends and relatives.  The late Mr. Diggins is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Harry Haycock, Princeton, Mrs. W. Becker, Toronto, and Mrs. N. Morrison, Los Angeles, and two sons, Arthur and Jack, both of Detroit.
