Obituary

Ernest A. Prince

Ernest Arthur Prince, 72, of 61 North Park Street died today at Brantford General Hospital.  He was born in London, England, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Annie Stinton) Prince.  Mr. Prince had lived in Brantford since coming to Canada at an early age.  Prior to his retirement, 10 years ago, Mr. Prince was a salesman with Silverwood Dairies Limited for about 30 years.  He was a veteran of the First World War, having served overseas with the 125th Battalion.  Mr. Prince was a member of the Anglican Church.  A daughter, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Dawson died in 1961 and a brother, Sidney, in 1941.  Surviving are his wife, the former Sarah Jennie Lacy; one daughter, Dorothy at home; four sons, Walter, Earl, Sidney and William, all of Brantford; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Beatrice) Feslian of Hamilton; Mrs. William (Cecelia) Mulrain and Miss Ivy Prince both of Detroit; three brothers, Walter and Laurel, both of Brantford and Cecil of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 10 grandchildren.  Mr. Prince is at Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home for service Monday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. F.A. Cook, Rector of St. James Anglican Church will officiate.
