Another Brantford soldier has made the supreme sacrifice in Pte. Frank George Thorn reported killed in action on June 13. Deceased was 20 years of age and enlisted with the 34th Battalion at Galt, going to the front with the second draft company of reinforcements. He was born in Richmond, Surrey, England and had been a resident of Galt, employed at the Goldie and McCulloch works as a crane driver. He was very well known, and was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. He is survived by his father Thomas G. Thorn, of Brantford, formerly of Galt, and three sisters and one brother in Galt.
