Brantford and Paris Casualties – Pte. John Hutchison, Brantford, and Pte. Fred Whitton, Paris Wounded

Pte. John Hutchison was on a visit to Brantford when the call came and immediately enlisted here. He was a miner in the Old Country and was on a visit to this country. His next of kin reside in Newport, Kentucky. Pte. Fred Whitton of Paris enlisted in Toronto.

Casualties of Men From Paris – Recent Heavy Fighting Accounted for Number From Paris District

PARIS, June 15. – The recent heavy fighting around Ypres has been brought home to Paris, a number of Paris men having been reported wounded, in addition to Pte. Matthias, whose casualty was reported in The Expositor yesterday.

Pte. Fred Whitton, who formerly boarded with Mrs. Heys, Broadway and who enlisted with the 36th Battalion, under Lt.-Col. E.C. Ashton, is at the Camieres Hospital, suffering with a slight wound in the leg.
