Frederick Deane

Frederick Deane died Sunday at his residence, 33 Victoria Street, in his 73rd year.  He was born in London, England, came to Canada in 1905 and was employed at Hewson and Son Plasterers for 30 years.  He was of Anglican faith and was a veteran of the Second World War.  Mr. Deane is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home, 48 Brant Avenue for service Wednesday at 2 p.m.  Rev. C.V. Tomkins will be in charge.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Dies in Room, Leaves $20,000, Seek Relatives

Seventy-two year old Frederick Deane, who died Sunday in his rooms in a house at 33 Victoria Street, was reported today to have had a bank account amounting to more than $20,000.  He had no known relatives.

The public trustee for the Province of Ontario, who called in Brantford police to search Mr. Deane’s quarters, has taken over the man’s assets, it was reported.

A request was made that information concerning any relatives be communicated to the police or the public trustee.

Mr. Deane was born in London, England and came to Canada in 1905.  He was employed at Hewson and Son for 30 years.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McCleister Funeral Home.

Frederick Deane

The funeral service  for Frederick Deane was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the McCleister Funeral Home with Rev. C.V. Tomkins, of St. Luke’s Anglican Church officiating.  The pallbearers were Harry Perrin, Thomas Mason, Thomas Payne, Thomas Lourie, George Hewson, and Percy Garner.  Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
