Letters and documents

Mrs. John Angus, 139 Nelson St., received a telegram on Saturday morning stating that her son, George Scott Angus, had been wounded (gunshot wound in upper extremities). However Mrs. Angus received a cable from him yesterday saying he had been admitted to Rosemead hospital, England. Pte. Angus went over with the 125th and was later transferred to the 4th Battalion as a dispatch runner. He is one of four sons who have served their country, a younger brother Malcolm R. Angus having returned last week.  Another brother made the supreme sacrifice a year ago in April, while a fourth brother, Robert T., is still in France. Pte. Angus is well known in Brantford and friends will hope for a speedy recovery.

Three Brothers Had a Reunion

Seven years ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Angus, now resident at 139 Nelson Street, left Scotland for Canada, one of four sons was left there. Recently though the devastating war which has called all four of the boys to don the khaki, three of the brothers had a reunion in Scotland. Andrew Angus of the Queen Victoria Rifles (London Rifles), was dangerously wounded some time ago, and while convalescing in Scotland his two brothers, Corporal R.T. and Private G.S., who are both in the machine gun section of the 125th Battalion, were given special permission and met their brother.  Andrew, who has never been in Canada, has now recovered sufficiently to return to the trenches.  The fourth brother Malcolm R. is a bugler with the 215th Battalion.
