George H. Ball

PARIS – George Harry Ball, 27 Ball Street, passed away in the Willett Hospital Tuesday at the age of 76.  Born in Leicester, England, he had been a resident of Paris for 41 years.  He was employed at the Paris Wincey Mill as a foreman.  He was a member of St. James’ Anglican Church and of Branch 29, Canadian Legion.  Surviving are a son, George Henry Ball, at home; four daughters, Mrs. George Beechey, Mrs. William Jones and Mrs. Nellie Hamilton, all of Paris, and Mrs. Ernest Ball, Leicester, England; a sister and brother, both in England, also 10 grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  His wife, the former Amelia Grant, predeceased him.  Funeral service will be held at the McCammon Funeral Home Thursday afternoon.  Rev. H.K.L. Charlton will be in charge, and interment will be in Paris Cemetery.  The pallbearers will be six grandsons, George Beechey, Leonard Beechey, Wilford Beechey, Jack Beechey, Ronald Beechey and William Beechey.
