Circumstances of Casualty: Killed in Action. Whilst doing duty in the trenches in the vicinity of Wulverghem, he was struck in the stomach by an enemy rifle bullet, at 10.15 a.m., November 7th, 1919, and killed instantly.

No further particulars have been received here in regard to the death of Sergeant George Dumble, at the front. He left with the first contingent as a private and received his promotion at the front. Before the war broke out he was employed by the Massey-Harris Co. here. He was an old Indian and South African veteran.
