George Thomas English

PARIS – George T. English of 11 Mechanic Street in Paris died Wednesday at the Willett Hospital after a long illness.  He was born in the County of Durham, England and was in his 63rd year.  Mr. English lived in Paris for about 50 years.  He served in the First World War in the third division and was a member of the Paris Canadian Legion.  Surviving are one brother, Jack of Galt; two sisters, Mrs. Alex (Mary) MacKay of Guelph and Mrs. Sarah MacKay of Paris.  Mr. English was predeceased by Mrs. English a number of years ago.  Mr. English is resting at Bruce B. Smith’s Funeral Home in Paris for service Saturday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
