War Deaths of Brantford – Private Skinner Killed

Another Brantford casualty in the overseas forces was announced in the official list this morning. Private George Gould Skinner, 19th Battalion, is reported dead of wounds. 

Private Skinner, at the time of his enlistment resided on Graham Avenue, Farringdon. He was a laborer and unmarried. He had three months’ service with the Dufferin Rifles and left with the first active service body of that regiment, which joined the second contingent, leaving Brantford Nov. 6, 1914. A sister of Private Skinner resides at 120 Oxford Street.
