Private George A. Webster Gives Up His Life– Another Brantford Man Paid the Supreme Sacrifice of War

A private message received in the city last evening brought the information that Pte. George A. Webster, another Brantford soldier, had laid down his life in Flanders. The word was received by his former boarding house mistress at 133 Marlborough Street. Webster was an Irishman and had been in Brantford about four years, being employed most of that time with Ryerson Bros., Ltd. He was unmarried and about 25 years of age. He enlisted here with the 36th Battalion, going forward from Niagara Falls with a reserve detachment.
