BX May 4, 1917

Wounded and missing is the report given in today’s casualty list in regard to G. Fisher. This is thought to be Gordon Fisher of Tutela P.O., who enlisted with a local battery when 18 years of age.

Word was received Sunday evening that Private Gordon Fisher, reported wounded and missing, had returned and rejoined his regiment.

BX August 20, 1918

Mrs. Bert Fisher, Eagle Place, received word yesterday that her son Private Gordon Fisher had been wounded on August 12, and that he was in the General Hospital, Rouen, suffering from a gunshot wound in the right thigh. This soldier son of a soldier father has been in France two years. He went over with the 125th and although he has seen a good deal of battle he escaped wounding until the present. His father, Private Bert Fisher left Brantford a member of the band in his battalion.

FISHER – At Brantford general Hospital Friday, February 18, 1972 Gordon Fisher in his 75th year; beloved husband of Leone Johnson, 5 Talbot Street; dear father of Mrs. William (Adelaide) Coleman of Warren, Michigan; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother of Reginald of Grimsby; Ernest and Mrs. Tom (Marjorie) Knudsen both of Florida, and the late Percy.  Mr. Fisher was a veteran of the First World War serving with the Mad Fourth Battalion.  Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets until Monday.  Service in the chapel, 3.30 p.m.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. A.E. Currey will officiate.  Contributions to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
