Ex-School Trustee Dies

Harley J. Davidson, 79 Chestnut Avenue, died Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Brantford, a son of the late Harley Davidson and Caroline Gilmartin Davidson and had been a lifelong resident of this city.

Mr. Davidson was a member of St. Basil’s Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1679, and had been a member of the Separate School Board for many years and had served as secretary.

Prior to his retirement three years ago, he had been with the Watson Manufacturing Company for 38 years.

Surviving besides his wife, the former Caroline Lyet, are a daughter, Mrs. William R. (Anne Frances) Tribble of Brantford; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Rene Davidson, June, 1950, a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Penrose, January, 1954.

Mr. Davidson is at Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home for requiem mass Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Basil’s Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
