Among the Canadians who gave his life for his country, was Private Harry Leonce Dupuy, who was killed at the Battle of Langemarck. Private Dupuy was a resident up to a year ago, having been employed at the Pratt and Letchworth office in this city. He then left for Montreal, in which city he enlisted with the first contingent. He is officially reported from Ottawa to have been killed.

His home was in Amherst, Nova Scotia, where his father is manager of the Bank of Montreal branch.
