First Airplane for Brant County Use

Anyone who sees an airplane flying over the city today may look on it with pride, for it is to be a permanent resident of Brant County. Lieut. Harold Albert Farrington, the son of Mr. James Farrington of Cathcart, has purchased a Curtis machine in Toronto, and he intends to fly home in it today. An up-to-date aerodrome has been built near Cooley Pond, a sight to scare the fishes away from this favorite resort, and all conveniences have been set up necessary to keep the plane in good shape.

This is the first plane to be purchased in the county, and the enterprise of the young aviator will be looked upon with pride.

Lieutenant Farrington went overseas with the 125th Battalion in 1916. He was transferred to the motor transports and served with them in France over a year. He then joined the R.A.F. and became very skillful in handling a machine.

The purchase of the Curtis is solely for the purpose of general use. The weather is favorable, and his friends expect him to reach here sometime today.
