Harold Varey, 68 died Tuesday in Westminster Hospital, London.  He was born in Dalton-in-Furness, Lancashire, England.  In 1910, he came to Canada and resided in Brantford until enlisting with the Second Tenth Brant Dragoons.  He served overseas with the Fourth CMR, until 1918.  For many years he resided in London and Calgary.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy) McConnell of Calgary; a brother, Robert P. Varey of Brantford; one grandchild.  His wife, the former Mary Gibson, died two years ago.  Mr. Varey is t the Millard and George Funeral Home, London, for service Friday at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario.
