Harold Sydney White Reported Missing in Action
Mrs. Mary L. White, 102 ½ Waterloo Street, has received an official telegram telling her of the fact that her son, Pte. Harold Sydney White, infantry, was officially reported missing on June 21. Private White enlisted with the cyclist corps, but transferred. He was formerly an apprentice in the drafting room of Jackson and Lee, civil engineers, and previous to that had been a carrier boy for The Expositor. He was but 18 when he enlisted. He is the only child.

Private Harold Sydney White Presumed Dead
Mr. and Mrs. F.A. White, 102 ½ Waterloo Street, has received official word that further searching has failed to reveal any trace of their son, Private Harold Sydney White, their only child who was reported missing on June 21, 1918 and that for official purposes he is presumed dead. He left with the Cyclists’ Corps from Toronto in 1917, and was transferred to the 19th Battalion. At the time of his departure, he was an apprentice in the office of Jackson and Lee, architects, and previously had been one of The Expositors most reliable carriers.
