Mrs. H. Bumstead has received a message that her husband Gunner Herbert Bumstead is in No. 8 Stationary Hospital, Wimereaux, France suffering from inflammation in the connective tissues of the right arm. Gunner Bumstead enlisted in the 32nd Battery in 1915, and although he has been through some heavy fighting he has been very fortunate till the present time, keeping his health and escaping injury. He was a farmer living at Pleasant Ridge, before he answered the call to battle.
