Horace Twine

PARIS – Horace Twine, of 74 West River Street, died today at his residence.  He was born in Nottingham, England, and had lived in Paris for over 50 years.  Mr. Twine was formerly with Penmans Limited, and was a member of St. James’ Anglican Church.  During the First World War he served with the 125th Battalion.  Surviving are two sons, Horace of Guelph, Eric at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. William (Frances) Gibbons of Paris, Mrs. Fred (Sadie) Archer of Brantford; a brother, Frank of Dundas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  His wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Fletcher, died three years ago.  Mr. Twine will be at the Bruce B. Smith Funeral Home from Tuesday evening for service Saturday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
