Hubert J. General

Hubert John General, 70 of R2 Ohsweken, died Monday at his residence.  He was a veteran of the First World War and served with the 114th Haldimand Rifles Battalion, the 107th Pioneer Battalion and in the First Battalion of the RCE.  Mr. General was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 90, Brantford.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ross (Roma) LaForme of Hagersville, Mrs. Joseph (Orma) Gorton of Germany; a son, David Martin of Brant, N.Y.; a brother, Maxwell General of R2 Ohsweken; a sister, Mrs. Josie DeForge of California; eight grandchildren.  Mr. General is at the Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken, for service Friday in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ohsweken, at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Rev. Robert Odendahl will officiate.
