Former Paris Man Killed in Action – Acting Corp. Hugh Dewey Crooks Was Former Employee of Penman’s – Paris News Notes

PARIS, Dec. 7 – In yesterday’s casualty list as being reported killed in action appeared the name of Acting-Corporal Dewey Crooks, who enlisted at Capital, Saskatchewan. Corporal Crooks was a former resident of Paris, and when here was employed in Penman’s No. 2, mill, and was well and favorably known. Mrs. C. Shaughnessy, Washington Street, is a sister of deceased.
