Private Hugh Simons, son of Mrs. Simons, Emilie Street, has been wounded and admitted to No. 11 stationary hospital, Rouen, on August 9th., suffering from gunshot wound in the knee. His mother received this message on Saturday morning. Pte. Simons enlisted with the 84th Battalion, but was later drafted into the 36th Battalion, with which unit he went overseas. He went to France with the 13th Royal Canadian Highlanders.
