ARMSTRONG – At the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, August 15, 1973, James E. Armstrong, in his 77th year; beloved husband of Leonora (Dolly) Burrows, 162 Darling Street; father of Jack of British Columbia, Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Gavloski of Burford, Mrs. Ronald (Louise) Rose, Toronto; Mrs. Allan (Mariel) Dagnall of Orillia and the late David; also 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother of Frank of Brantford, Mrs. James (Bessie) McCormick of St. Catharines, Mrs. Charles (Mariel) Jamieson of Texas, Mrs. Ken (Velma) Ditchfield of Woodstock, Mr. Armstrong was a veteran of the First and Second World Wars, life member of Ex-Imperials, 50 year member Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90, and a member of the Gunners’ Club.  Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited, Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, until Saturday morning.  Service in the chapel 11:30 a.m. Interment Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. John MacCallum will officiate.  Contributions to Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
