Brantford Man on Battleship - Jenkin Davies is Chief Petty Officer of H.M.S. Conqueror

Among Brantford's representatives on H.M. navy is Jenkin Davies, whose brother, Ivor Davies, enlisted with the 114th being now in France with the 52nd Canadians. Jenkin Davies made Brantford his home before the war, boarding with Mr. and Mrs. William Russell, 25 Murray Street, while employed at the office of the Verity Plow Company. For three years prior to the war he was a student at McMaster University, spending his summers in the west. He returned to England in November 1915, and enlisted in the Royal navy, being now a chief petty officer on H.M.S. Conqueror, a super dreadnought. He intends to return to Canada after the war.
