An Armenian’s Appeal

To the Editor of The Expositor

Sir,

I would like to say something; listen to me! Listen to me! In every corner of the country we are told “Your King and Country needs you.”  This doesn’t mean ladies.  It means men.  Ladies will have to wait till this war is over and the men come back.  I want to tell you that I am an Armenian.  There were at least over 100 colleges that the British have built in Armenia, all are burned, the teachers all hanged and the people butchered.  This is no time to wait.  I’d want to see every man sign in the 215th with his own will. Wake up and come on.  The Kaiser is the one that is at the head of these atrocities.  When an Armenian like me enlists you Canadians ought to enlist.  There is no other country like this for freedom and equal rights.
