Has Broken Leg

Private John West Crichton of the 125th Battalion is in the Brantford General Hospital today with a broken leg. Crichton, who was “waiting man” on guard duty last evening, fell over a stool and broke his leg at the ankle, about 9.30, the medical officer, Captain Hanna, was soon on the job and had Crichton taken to the hospital, where he set the leg, and Crichton’s gameness and pluck during the injury and subsequent setting of the leg is the talk of the battalion today. Pte. Crichton’s home is at 89 Grey Street, and he is a member of No. 16 platoon, D. company. The break was a serious one.
