John Horace Sharpe

John Horace Sharpe, 77, of 12 Homestead Road, Paris, died Thursday in the Willett Hospital, Paris.  He was born in England and had lived in Paris for the past 56 years and was a member of St. James Anglican Church.  Mr. Sharpe served with the Black Watch Battalion during the First World War, and was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion.  Surviving besides his wife, the former Elsie May Bostock, are two sons, Melvin and Donald; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Griffiths and Mrs. Calvin (Jean) Amy, all of Paris; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Scott; one brother, Baden, both of Paris.  A son, William, was killed at Dieppe.  Mr. Sharpe is at the Bruce B. Smith Funeral Home, Paris, until Saturday, for service at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery with Rev. Morley Pinkney officiating.
