Joseph Whitfield

Joseph Whitfield, 84 of 2 Ayr Road, Paris, died Wednesday in the Willett Hospital.  Mr. Whitfield was a member of St. James’ Anglican Church in Paris and was a member of the choir for a number of years.  He was a member of the Paris Senior Citizens, and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion.  Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Beales, two sons, John Edward of Scarborough, Frank of Richmond Hill; one daughter, Mrs. George (Ruby) McKenzie of Garden City, Michigan; two brothers, William of Australia, Thomas of Brantford; two sisters, Mrs. Percy (Annie) Goodwin, Mrs. Alice Goodwin, both in England.  Mr. Whitfield is at the Cumming and Glaves Funeral Home, 13 Banfield Street, Paris, until Saturday, service to be conducted from St. James’ Church at 2 p.m. Rev. Morley Pinkney will officiate with cremation in Toronto.
