Gunshot in Head Received - Pte. Kester Edmondson Shot While Working With Field Kitchen

Mrs. Kester William Edmondson, Colborne Street, received word today from Ottawa that her husband, Pte. Kester Edmondson had been wounded recently. He was a baker and was in the trenches with his field kitchen, which had been placed in a special dugout, when a starry bullet hit him in the head.

Pte. Kester Edmondson left with the 19th Battalion, being in C. Company, Major Newman commander. He was at the time of enlistment a foreman at the Ham & Nott factory. He had formerly been a baker, and with the military went back to his old trade.

Mrs. Edmondson resides at the corner of Colborne and Brock Streets.
