Details: At Passchendaele on Nov. 6th, 1917 this man repeatedly carried messages through the enemy barrage to Battn. Headquarters and showed great courage under very heavy enemy shell fire.

Lloyd Riddell

Lloyd Riddell died Wednesday in Sunnybrook Military Hospital, Toronto.  He was born in Wilsonville in 1891, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Riddle (Riddell).  Mr. Riddell was a veteran of the First World War.  He was employed in Brantford with the Dominion Radiator Company and was later transferred to Toronto in 1940.  He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mabel L. Johnson in November, 1958.  Mr. Riddell will rest at the Beckett Funeral Home from Friday morning for the funeral at 2 p.m. on Friday, with interment in the family plot in Farringdon Burial Ground.

Lloyd Riddell

The funeral service for Lloyd Riddell, husband of the late Mabel L. Johnson, was conducted yesterday afternoon at the Beckett Funeral Home by Rev. G.O. Cox of Oakland United Church.  Pallbearers were James Riddle of Toronto, Grant Riddle of Wilsonville, Frederick Grobb of Brantford, Leonard Johnson and Arnold Johnson of Brantford and Reginald Jonson of Hamilton.  Interment was in the family plot of Farringdon Burial Ground.
