Circumstances of Casualty: Killed in Action. This soldier was taking shelter in a shell-hole about 100 yards West of the Canal Du Nord (the objective for the day) when he was hit by a bullet from the rifle of an enemy sniper, and instantly killed.

Private Louis Aloysius Angelo Killed in Action

Guy Angelo, 87 Strathcona Avenue, has received official word from Ottawa, that his brother, Pte. Louis Angelo, who enlisted here with the 125th Battalion, has been killed in action. He formerly worked at the Massey-Harris Company here and was a well-known Italian, who was however, born in Edinburgh Scotland.
