BX September 9, 1918

Mr. John Hurley, 45 Alonzo Street, has received official word that his son, Private Louis Hurley of the P.P.C.L.I. has been admitted to the 7th Canadian General hospital, Le Treport, wounded in the neck and the right arm. He has been in France for over a year, enlisting in Walkerville, where he was a farmer and a member of the Walkerville fire department. He enlisted in the transport section and was transferred to the Princess Pats. 

BX October 10, 1918

John Hurley, 45 Alonzo Street, received word that his son, Private Louis Hurley, has been officially reported admitted to the 1st South African General Hospital, Abbeville, Sept. 30th with gunshot wound in the right leg. This is the second time he has been wounded in five weeks.
