Malcolm Richmond Angus

Many friends and relatives were present to pay a last tribute to Malcolm R. Angus, whose funeral service was held at the Beckett Funeral Home on Monday afternoon.  Many of those present were men who had worked along with him at a Massey-Harris plant here.  Rev. J.R. Esler, minister of Alexandra Presbyterian Church was in charge of the service and spoke words of praise for the life of the deceased and of comfort to the sorrowing members of his family.  The many and beautiful floral tributes also testified to the esteem in which Mr. Angus had been held.  On Sunday evening a Masonic service was held at the funeral home with W. Bro. S.E. Painter, ruling master of Doric Lodge, in charge.  He was assisted by R.W. Bro. R.W.E.. McFadden, W. Bros E.E. McIntyre, Reg Eacrett, Walter North and Walter Durand and a large number of past masters, officers and brethren.  The flower bearers were George Angus, Jr., Andrew Angus, John Angus, Thomas Hurst, William Cassells and Donald Angus.  The pallbearers were Jack Buttery, Rex Dean, Len Lovekin, S. Collyer, T. Peattie and Charles Mars.  Interment was in Farringdon Burial Ground.
