Word was received in the city yesterday that Matthew Overton was reported killed in action on Aug. 17. He went overseas with the first overseas battalion from the 38th Dufferin Rifles. Before enlisting, he worked at the Massey-Harris shop and lived at 105 Cayuga Street at the home of Mrs. Churchward. He was 36 years of age.
