Matthew William Windle

The death of Matthew William Windle occurred at the Brantford General Hospital Thursday evening, at the age of seventy-eight years.  Mr. Windle was born in Brantford and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Windle.  He was of English descent.  A moulder by trade, he was employed for many years by the firm of Waterous Ltd.  Surviving are three brothers, Daniel Windle, Westminster Hospital, London, Ont., Herbert Windle, 136 East Lindsay Boulevard, Flint, Mich., Norman Windle, 176 George Street, City and one sister, Mrs. George Cowell, Tillsonburg.  Mr. Windle is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home, where the service will be held Saturday afternoon, with interment to take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.

The funeral of Matthew William Windle was held from the McCleister Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon.  Rev. F.W. Schaffter, St. Jude’s Anglican Church, was in charge at the Funeral Home, and at the interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Representatives were in attendance from Branch 90, Canadian Legion.  The pallbearers were Comrades Alex Kyle, D. McKellar, E.A. Taylor and A. Anderson.  Bugler William Holloway sounded Last Post at the graveside.
