Circumstances of Casualty: Previously reported Missing, now reported Killed in Action. From information available this soldier while one of a party of wirers at work in front of our trenches at the Bluff near Zillebeke, was instantly killed by the explosion of an enemy mine.

Private Patrick Baker – Reported wounded, resided at 186 Brock Street at the time of his enlistment. By trade he is a farmer. Prior to coming to Canada he served for two years with the Third Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, and since his advent to Brantford has been associated with the Dufferin Rifles for one year.
